Who We Are/Our Clinic
For The Love of Dogs is a non profit, no-kill animal shelter that is made up of volunteers that are not only committed to advocating for the humane treatment of dogs, but also strive to give the dogs in our care the best quality of life possible. There are several important facets to our organization. First and foremost we provide education to the public about the proper care necessary to ensure a happy, healthy and well adjusted member of the family. We also advocate spaying and neutering of companion animals and offer a low cost clinic to help ensure that everyone can afford these procedures as well as general care for their pets (please see the About Us page). Please browse our website and visit our Facebook page to learn more about who we are and what we do.
Our Dogs & Adoptions
We house several dogs in our no-kill animal shelter and strive to find each one of them loving and quality homes where they will become part of the family unit and be loved unconditionally their entire life. We do this through numerous avenues: adoption events, Petfinder, community outreach and transports to other rescue groups. Another facet of what we do is caring for the forgotten dogs that come into our care who will most likely live the rest of their lives with us. We provide them with a safe, clean living space, nutritious food, love and socialization. In relation to this, we have several community programs where volunteers come in and help with dog walking and kennel cleaning. From time to time we organize "field trips" with our long term residents to ensure they have the most loving, normal life possible without a couch of their own to call home. Please visit our Petfinder page through the link below to see all the wonderful dogs that we have available for adoption.
Our volunteers & Events
For the Love of Dogs has several wonderful and fun volunteer programs available. We have volunteer opportunities for dog walking, grooming, and of course socializing as well as cleaning their living space to ensure a healthy living environment. Part of our volunteer program also includes participating in community events such as adoption days, as well as taking our dogs out in small groups as part of what we call our field trip days. Please browse our website to learn more about how you can become part of our volunteer family. We rely on the community that we serve to help us realize our goals.
